Media Matters

Media matters.

There’s just no two ways about it. The potential role which different media can play in the development of our children is real and we have to become proactive about it. Show me a family where the kids are allowed to make most of their own media choices without parental involvement, and I’ll show you a family where spiritual development and growth are likely stunted, maybe even stopped altogether.

In the world today, there are more media outlets than ever before and many of them are specifically designed to be attractive to children. One example of this I referenced in today’s iParent audio file. If you haven’t listened to it yet, please be sure to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes and it just might help you make a difference in your child’s spiritual developement. The idea for iParent today came from reading my friend Jacob’s blog, where he reviews country sensation Carrie Underwood’s latest album. You can find his blog in my links section below!
